Brains staff cycle 51 miles raising over £2,000

Brains Cycle

We want to say a huge well done to a group of Brains Brewery employees who took on a 51 mile Swansea-to-Cardiff bike ride to raise money for us!

The 13 members of staff from different pubs, completed the ‘Tour de Brains’ on Tuesday. They started from the Pump House pub in Swansea Marina, visited Brains pubs along the way before finishing at the Cardiff Brewery in the Welsh capital.

The group has raised over £2,000 from their challenge.

Carys Burgess, our Corporate Relationship Manager, is delighted with the group's effort. “This 51 mile sponsored cycle adds to the long list of fantastic challenges that the SA Brain team have organised and taken part in to support Tenovus Cancer Care over the last two years.

“Many of the team weren't seasoned cyclists but they put their pedal power to the test and we can’t thank them enough. The money raised will help us support cancer patients and their loved ones when they need us most, in communities across Wales.

“We thoroughly enjoy working alongside the SA Brain family and they never fail to disappoint with their enthusiasm towards challenges like this cycle!”

Brains staff and customers have raised more than £100,000 in the two years since working with us as charity partner.
