Nigel Owens is a retired international rugby union referee from Mynyddcerrig, Carmarthenshire. Renowned for his straight-talking, humorous approach to the game, he was one of the first three Welsh Rugby Union professional referees. During his 17-year long career, he’s worked in the European Challenge Cup, Heineken Cup, Celtic League, International Rugby Board World Sevens Series, Six Nations, Rugby World Cup, the British & Irish Lions tour, and is today considered one of the greatest of all time. Off the pitch, he is a popular tv and radio personality and commentator and is in high demand as a speaker.  

 

Our story

Long-time patron of Tenovus Cancer Care, Nigel Owens has supported us in a variety of ways over the years, from sending messages and videos of support to us and fundraisers to hosting events including the recent 'A night with Nigel Owens and friends' at Llandybie Rugby Club, which raised over £6,000 for us.
