  • Vacancy: Media Relations and Communications Manager / Rheolwr Cysylltiadau a’r Cyfryngau a Chyfathrebu

    Location: Home & Head Office based
    As the role can be mostly home based, we have flexible working arrangements and encourage as much Head Office working as possible with an expectation to attend monthly team meetings in the office. We’d expect our Media Relations & Communications Manager to commute to our Cardiff city centre office as and when required for the role or travel across Wales as needed. 

    Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week with flexible working 
    This means outside of our core 11am-3pm hours you can suit work around your lifestyle and personal commitments. We operate our work flexibly between 7am – 9pm so you can do things like the school runs or fit in wellness activities and hobbies with your working life.
    Salary: £34,000
    Closing date: 23 February 2025

    An exciting role with Line Management responsibilities seeing you impact on the cancer landscape through the power of communication, inclusivity, stories and effective media campaigns. A rewarding and specialist role working with the media to find and develop opportunities to communicate our work. You’ll be making sure our messages deliver impact and are seen and heard in a way that supports a positive public perception. As an experienced media relations and communications professional, you’ll be used to reacting to the news and maximising opportunities, as well as briefing spokespeople for interviews and be able to deliver media training.

  • Vacancy: Counselling Services Manager / Rheolwr Gwasanaethau Cwnsela
    Location: Wales Home & Cardiff Head Office based
    This role can be based from our Cardiff Head Office and supports remote working if you’ve a suitable home working set up within Wales. We encourage as much Head Office working as possible and would have attendance expectations in line with the needs of the role.

    Contract: Fixed Term up to October 2027, 35 hours per week with flexible working 
    Salary: £35,000
    Closing date:  02 March 2025

    We delivered around 2000 hours of counselling last year. The counselling support need when it comes to people affected by cancer is growing as is the scope to build and grow our counselling service. 
    A fantastic management role for a suitably qualified counselling professional to lead our counselling team as they deliver a one on one, group and virtual counselling service. You’ll spearhead the way in which we build and develop NHS and partner working in our counselling service offering.
