I’m Julie and my team and I work in partnership with all departments to provide a HR service to staff, and support the diverse range of volunteers helping us in many different roles. We recognise that investing in all our amazing people is vital to being able to support cancer patients and their loved ones.
My career has been split into two areas. I started off working as a Shop Manager and then in retail operations, before moving into HR 15 years ago. Most of my career was with Peacocks Stores where I spent 12 years as a HR Manager giving employment advice and support to over 500 shops across the UK, before joining Tenovus Cancer Care in October 2012. When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family, shopping and an occasional gin and tonic!
