I’m Lowri, and my fab team are responsible for delivering on our charitable aims.

The Support Services team provide direct help and support to people affected by cancer and their loved ones and the Policy and Insight team are all about ensuring that the needs of those who are diagnosed with cancer are kept high on the Government and NHS agenda and that we do all we can to make sure that cancer research, data and evidence are central to service delivery and improvement.

Apart from a short stint working for a Government body in my early career, I have spent over 20 years working in the third sector - championing the needs of those using health and social care services, influencing government policy and campaigning for change. I’ve worked for a number of cancer and end of life charities and the cancer experiences that have affected my family and friends makes me a passionate activist and supporter of participation and involvement in service and policy development.

I’m from North Wales, married to a West Walian and live in South East Wales. I am always learning about the complex challenges that exist in our different communities which lead to inequalities and poor cancer outcomes here in Wales. As a charity and as a team we are determined to do more to address these challenges

In my spare time, I try to keep up with my daughters non-stop lives and interests, I am a school governor and a panel member of a small fostering agency. I am also doing evening classes in counselling and learning as much about myself as I am about others!
