56 Mile Mission

Every year, almost 56,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with breast cancer. This October, join Team Tenovus and swim, walk, run or wheel 56 miles for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Do it on your own, or as part of a team, or even challenge your friends and family to join. It doesn’t matter whether you’re an experienced runner, want to get a bit fitter, or just fancy the challenge – all that matters is doing your part for breast cancer awareness.

Who is this challenge for?

Everyone! You don't need to be an experienced runner to do this challenge. Whether you’re a casual walker, or just starting your fitness journey this challenge allows you to take it at your own pace and build up the miles as you go!

56 miles in a month is the equivalent to 14 miles per week or 2 miles per day, so you can either take the challenge at your own pace, with small distances each day or you can challenge yourself and tackle long distances at a time.

You can also decide on the best way to clock up the miles, whether that’s through swimming, walking, running, cycling, jumping or skipping - whatever is right for you.

How to register?

Signing up is easy, and completely free!

All we ask in return is that you raise *at least* £55 in fundraising, to support everyone affected by cancer and support us in giving help, hope and a voice to everyone affected by cancer.

£55 could allow our expert cancer nurses to provide support and guidance, to four people going through cancer treatment though our Call Back service.

If you have any questions about the challenge or fundraising, please get in touch with a member of our fundraising team on fundraising@tenovuscancercare.org.uk and a member of our team will aim to get back to you within three working days.

If you or someone you love has been affected by cancer, our free Support Line is there for you. Just call 0808 808 1010
