Chair of Tenovus Cancer Care, Tracey Burke, Awarded CBE

Wales-based charity Tenovus Cancer Care is delighted to announce that its Chair, Tracey Burke, has been awarded a CBE in the New Year Honours list 2025, in recognition of her exceptional services to public life in Wales.

A CBE, Commander of the Order of the British Empire, is the highest-ranking Order of the British Empire level (excluding a knighthood/damehood) and is awarded to individuals who have made a significant impact in their field.

Tracey began her role as Chair of Trustees at Tenovus Cancer Care in March 2024 and brings over three decades of experience in the public sector, having worked for the UK Government, the Irish Government, and the Welsh Government. Her career spans a diverse range of portfolios, including economy, transport, housing, and sustainability, and involves collaboration with the charity sector throughout.

In addition to her significant leadership experience at both Executive and Board levels, Tracey has a long-standing personal connection with Tenovus Cancer Care, contributing greatly to the charity from her early years to her current position.

I am thrilled and proud to see our Chair, Tracey Burke, honoured for her substantial achievements. This recognition is a testament to her dedication, leadership, and the incredible impact she has made throughout her career. We are so fortunate to have Tracey as the Chair of Tenovus Cancer Care, and it is my privilege to work alongside such an impressive leader.
