A cancer diagnosis can trigger a range of emotions for patients, family members, and carers, which may change over time. Getting support can help manage these feelings or emotions.

The National Strategic Clinical Network for Cancer are undertaking a project to understand how cancer affects the feelings and emotions of patients, their families, and/or carers and what support was accessed or needed at that time.

The team are inviting individuals, family members, and carers impacted by cancer to participate by testing a survey. This survey aims to explore the following

  • What type of support was needed to help manage feelings and emotions
  • The support received, and how this helped

Before the survey is launched, they need a small group of volunteers (patients, family members, and carers) to review, provide feedback, and test the survey. Your insights will help ensure that the survey is clear, comprehensive, and truly reflective of the experiences of those affected by cancer.
