Complete our survey on research opportunities for people with less survivable cancers
The less survivable cancers have been left behind for far too long.
Between 2016 and 2021, the less survivable cancers received less than half the research funding of other common cancers, despite causing a similar number of deaths. This legacy of underfunding has left survival rates stagnant for the past 40 years, and we have found that the less survivable cancers suffer from a vicious cycle.
Poor survival outcomes contribute to fewer researchers and less research investment, which in turn, leads to fewer positive breakthroughs, continued low survival, even fewer researchers and less funding. To start delivering treatment breakthroughs and transform survival, we need to remove the current barriers to research that are currently impeding progress.
You can help us do this by completing our survey on research opportunities for people with less survivable cancers (lung, liver, brain, oesophageal, pancreatic and stomach cancers).
Complete our research survey
The survey asks whether you or your loved one have had opportunities to participate in clinical trials or research studies, as well as any barriers you may have encountered. We also want to understand your thoughts on the value and role of research in improving outcomes for these cancers.
Please note, even if you or your loved one has not participated in research, we still want to hear from you.
Your valuable input will help us gather the evidence needed to ask governments across the UK to allocate more targeted research funding and attention to the less survivable cancers.
Who can complete the survey:
The survey is open to anyone in the UK with an experience of a less survivable cancer. If you have lost a loved one to a less survivable cancer, please complete this survey on their behalf. It takes about 15 minutes to complete the survey.
