Whilst weight is not a very good measure of health, and many people classified as "overweight" or "obese" are perfectly healthy, there is a strong correlation between obesity and cancer, as well as many other diseases. The Health and Social Care Committee is investigating ways to prevent ill health, and is focusing on obesity. Obesity is a major health challenge worldwide, including in Wales, particularly affecting disadvantaged communities. This consultation is aimed at understanding peoples' views on their strategy for tackling obesity. They are particularly keen to hear about how easy it is to access obesity prevention services, as well as how any stigma associated with obesity has impacted your cancer journey and mental health. By completing this survey you will help us shape our response to this consultation and ensure that the voices of those affected by cancer are considered.
