How can we best support people with cancer to self-advocate?

Eligibility

Anyone who has ever been diagnosed with any type of cancer, or has ever visited their GP with concerns about cancer-like symptoms.

What are the aims of the project?

Our community engagement officers have told us that people in Wales want support to manage their own cancer journey more effectively, so we are working to produce some self-advocacy tools to help people engage with their GP when they are worried about symptoms and to advocate for their own care throughout cancer diagnosis and treatment.

In order to produce these tools we need to hear from people like you who have experience with the cancer journey to make sure that what we produce is relevant and useful.

Who can take part?

In our survey we want to hear from anyone who has ever been diagnosed with any type of cancer, or has ever visited their GP with concerns about cancer-like symptoms.

Please complete this short online survey to help us produce self-advocacy tools which will make a real difference.

If you have any questions about this survey or our self-advocacy work, please contact insight@tenovuscancercare.org.uk
