Young Adults Smoking Behaviours

Location

Wales

Eligibility

Aged 18-24 year old who has smoked in the last 6 months.

Strategic Research and Insight are doing a piece of work on behalf of the Health Improvement Division at Public Health Wales to understand what influences young adults to start smoking. They also want to make sure that services to help people quit smoking meet the needs of young adults. This will allow them to give people the best chance of quitting smoking if and when they’re ready

The data shows that there's a sharp rise in young people taking up smoking during the transition from school to new environments e.g. college/Uni, apprenticeships/work, leaving home etc.

They want to speak to 18-24 across Wales year old's who are smokers, via telephone or video interviews of no more than 30 minutes.

Following a brief screening process, those who are selected for interview will receive £30 as a thank you for taking part.

People can also register their interest in taking part by calling the Project Manager Mrs Saadiah Hood on 02920 404044 or email her at saadiah@strategic-research.co.uk
