Why am I needed?
Tenovus Cancer Care’s Jingle Bell Jog event helps to generate vital funds to support the charity and it’s work. The role of our marshals is to monitor the route our walkers and runners will take and direct them and give words of encouragement. It’s vital to have marshals on the route to ensure the safety of all our participants.
What will I be doing?
- Marshalling part of the route within the national botanic gardens – supporting our runners and providing words of encouragement.
- Cheering on our amazing runners
- You may be asked to help set up our cheer station with our banners and flags.
What skills do I need?
- A fun, friendly and outgoing personality
- Outdoors person
- Looking to have some fun
- An enthusiasm for the work of Tenovus Cancer Care.
How much time do I need to commit?
A few hours on Sunday 1 December. Arriving at 10:00am and leaving around 3:00pm at the latest.
What support will I be given?
- You’ll be provided with a brief when volunteering
- Support from Tenovus Cancer Care member of staff

Where will I be based?
You’ll be based at the National Botanical Gardens of Wales, along the route path.
