Wynne Evans is a broadcaster, presenter, and opera singer with a daily radio show on BBC Radio Wales. Born in Carmarthen, he studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the National Opera Studio in London. He has performed at some of the major opera houses around the world, has appeared in over 150 ads for Go.Compare as the spoof opera star, Gio Compario, was awarded the Brutusg Empire Medal in the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Honours list and was crowned Celebrity MasterChef Champion 2023.
Our story
Following the passing of his father in 2012, Wynne Evans became a patron of Tenovus Cancer Care to ensure that support was available for everyone affected by cancer. He played a key role during our 70th Anniversary celebrations, launching our singalong campaign in the heart of the Welsh capital. He has hosted our ever popular Lovelight Christmas Concerts, events with our Friends of Tenovus Cancer Care Groups and recently co-hosted an event with rugby legend Alun Wyn Jones that raised over £11,000 for us.
